wcoop update 3 - $700 pain/gain

Hi folks,

at the start of the session I had a deep run in the $265ko, finished with three tables left for $640 when 1st was 20k. Was lucky enough to run Queens into Kings.

Here a few interesting hands of the $700 Wcoop Event:

I lost 20bbs with A8s in a multiway pot 1st hand and when I 3bet A5o bvb and cbet/folded to a checkraise.

Then this happened, no clue how though...

This hand I guess I got the best of villain by snapcheck/snapcalling twice, which usually is what people do when they're weakish and try to get to showdown cheaply and discourage further action.

Then I got this villain to not fold his weak ace, don't know how I did that:

Then the most important hand of my tournament took place, I think this really was the pot that determined the future outcome of this tournament for me. I basically missplayed the nuts by not protecting them / getting value on the flop vs MP1 who clearly had at least an overpair in my opinion.. SB was quite a character, often pot cbetting, 4-6xing preflop. Couldn't really assign no hands to his plays because he like never went to showdown with those crazy lines. On the turn I figure I might be beat by a straight and be drawing to boat-outs. I'm glad that I resisted the first instinct of shoving because I wasn't gonna get value from worse hands usually.

After that pot I'm back to 40bbs and decide to tighten it up again. After defending deuces and check-folding a non-deuce flop I go on a 47 hand folding-stretch. Matter of fact I folded for the whole 150/300/40 level...
At 200/400/50 I openshove AQo in the Hi-Jack seat for 16bbs. I didn't bother minraising because I felt after folding so many hands, shoving had to look weaker. I then folded again for 16 hands straight. I woke up with pocket queens on the button with 14 big blinds, reshoved a 2.5bb HJ steal and held up against Ace-Eight offsuit. An orbit and some hands later I woke up with Kings:

After doubling again vs the awkward villain I felt like I was officially back in the game, which actually was the case with me playing 40-50bbs again. I then got 1 barrel of value with Aces in a 3bet pot where I flopped a nutflush draw to complete my overpair on Td8d3d holding the ace of diamonds. Probably should have checked the turnblank and get villain to bluff off some chips. Bet instead and villain mucked.
Then another big pot slid my way after I 2barrel a flushdraw being the 3bettor and got there on the river:

I actually tanked for like 30seconds before I decided to valuebet for two-fifhts pot, giving villain a chance to call with the kind of hand he had. Didn't expect such a weak Jack to still be there by the river though... At first my plan was to value-bet/fold the river if he had shoved, but in retrospec I realized he probably like never has a boat here since he probably would get in sets by the turn the least (talking 77, TT, JJ). I think the sizing was good to get a call from the type of hand he actually had. Think I would've bluffed river around the same amout, had I missed and decided to bluff...

So after 3betting A4s out of the blinds I had to lower the pace a little bit since I just had shown a huge amount of relentless aggression / spewyness.

Playing a healthy 55-60 big blind stack the following hand occured, blessing me with clarity on the turn when I probably would have been lost a little bit on other turns vs continueing aggression from villain.

I think it would be fun to have a little quiz here and see if you guys can guess villain's hand (just comment below if you got an idea of what villain might have).

With this quiz I'm gonna end this first part of my $700 Wcoop Handhistory-Review since it's quite big already. See you for the next installment.

Cheers
